Election Process:

After the nomination period concludes, a secure online voting process will be conducted, managed by an independent third-party provider. Detailed instructions and candidate profiles will be shared with all members prior to the election period.

Important Considerations:

Commitment: Board members are expected to actively participate in quarterly meetings (virtual or in-person) and contribute to strategic decision-making processes.
Term Duration: Each elected member will serve a three-year term, commencing on 28 March 2025.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • To run for the Board, a member’s designated representative must self-nominate or be nominated by another member.
  • To nominate a candidate, a member must have maintained continuous membership for at least one year.
  • Board members are elected by the membership from member nominations. Only individuals affiliated with a member organization (i.e. via employment or long-term consultancy contract with the Member organization) may be elected. Each member may nominate only one person at a time; if their nominee is already on the Board, they cannot nominate another.

In alignment with SRP’s commitment to diversity, we strongly encourage nominations of women and individuals from the Global South. Experience serving on non-profit boards, especially in regard to fundraising, will be an advantage.
