Russ brings a wealth of expertise and a strong dedication to our vision of transforming the global rice sector towards a healthier, more inclusive, and sustainable future.
A Brief Biography of Our New SRP Technical Committee Member, Russ Cullinane
Russ is currently working as the Director of Business Development at CarbonFarm Technology and brings over 28 years of global experience in sustainability and community development. He has a proven track record in designing, implementing, and evaluating international sustainable development projects and initiating emission reduction initiatives in Indonesia and the Asia-Pacific region.
Russ’ expertise covers a wide range of areas, including climate change, carbon and climate finance, sustainable and regenerative agriculture, secure livelihoods, and community-based natural resource management. He has actively contributed to business development and capacity building at both institutional and individual levels, leveraging his extensive background in the private sector and various international NGOs. Russ has actively participated in initiatives across numerous countries, including Indonesia, Canada, Timor Leste, Laos, Thailand, Papua New Guinea, Nepal, Philippines, Cambodia, Vanuatu, Solomon Islands, Myanmar, Bangladesh, India, Vietnam, and Zambia.
About the SRP Technical Committee
Reporting to the SRP Board, the SRP Technical Committee provides invaluable scientific and technical guidance on managing and revising the SRP Standard and Performance Indicators, the SRP Assurance Scheme, position papers, and other essential normative documents. Additionally, the Committee oversees the SRP Authorized Training Program and the development of digital tools to support farmers, ensuring excellence in all SRP undertakings.
