Announcing the New Chair of the SRP Technical Committee
Sustainable Rice Platform (SRP) is pleased to welcome Vikram Mehla, Senior Manager-Agribusiness at LT Foods, as the newly elected Chair of the SRP Technical Committee (TC) for 2026. Vikram brings over a decade of experience in advancing sustainable and regenerative rice cultivation, working closely with farmers to implement the SRP Standard across all stages of rice production.
His expertise in field-level extension, pesticide residue compliance, and climate-focused innovation, including the implementation of SRP low-carbon rice initiatives—will further strengthen SRP’s mission to catalyze transformation across the global rice sector.
SRP also extends its sincere thanks to Russ Cullinane for his leadership and dedicated service as Chair of the Technical Committee. Under Russ’s stewardship, the Technical Committee has played a critical role in strengthening the technical integrity of the SRP Standard, advancing assurance and verification systems, and guiding the platform through a period of growing global adoption. His contributions have laid a strong foundation for the next phase of SRP’s technical development.
