The Sustainable Rice Platform (SRP) is pleased to welcome Khmer Foods Group Co., Ltd. as a new member of the SRP community, marking a shared commitment to advancing sustainable rice production and strengthening collaboration across the global rice sector.

Khmer Foods Group is a leading Cambodian rice miller and exporter committed to delivering high-quality and sustainable Cambodian rice to global markets. Established in 1994, the company has grown from a local rice trading business into an integrated rice milling and export operation with modern facilities in Kampong Speu Province. Khmer Foods Group manages the rice value chain from paddy sourcing and milling to packing and international shipment, working closely with farmer networks to ensure a reliable supply of high-quality, responsibly and sustainably sourced rice.

As a rice miller and exporter working directly with farmer networks, Khmer Foods Group’s involvement reflects a growing recognition of the role that responsible sourcing and farmer engagement play in driving genuine progress toward sustainability. The company supports SRP’s goals by promoting sustainable rice production and improving farmer livelihoods, working closely with farmer groups to encourage better farming practices aligned with SRP standards. In collaboration with development partners, Khmer Foods Group supports farmer training and the adoption of responsible agricultural practices connecting farmers to premium markets for sustainably produced rice and helping them achieve better prices and more stable income. Through this collaboration, SRP aims to support Khmer Foods Group’s efforts to promote proven and verifiable sustainable rice standards among its farmer networks, strengthen knowledge sharing and capacity building, and advance a more sustainable rice value chain in Cambodia.

By joining SRP, Khmer Foods Group becomes part of a global multi-stakeholder platform that brings together private sector actors, governments, research institutions, civil society organizations, and development partners working collectively to promote sustainable rice cultivation practices and improve sustainability outcomes across rice value chains.

SRP looks forward to working closely with Khmer Foods Group to further strengthen sustainability efforts across the rice sector and accelerate progress toward more sustainable and resilient rice value chains globally.
