SRP 4th Annual General Assembly and Call for Nominations

We are pleased to invite all SRP members to join the 4^th SRP Annual General Assembly 2023 which will take place as a hybrid event on 18 October 2023 from 9:00 to 11:00 (UTC+2/CEST). The event will be held at the Philippine International Convention Center (PICC), Manila, Philippines, and virtually via Microsoft Teams.

The principal agenda items for the meeting will be as follows:

• Report of the Chair
• Election of Board Members
• Approval of proposed amendments to Articles of Association
• Report of independent auditor FY 2022
• Discharge of the Board

The General Assembly, comprising representatives of all full members, is SRP’s highest decision-making body. The purpose of the annual meeting is to enable all members to exercise their statutory rights and duties in accordance with the SRP Articles of Association, to ensure the organization can be managed according to the wishes of the membership.

All SRP members are invited and strongly encouraged to participate in this important meeting. A formal invitation, agenda and link to the registration form will be circulated via email to official representatives of all member institutions in accordance with Section 13 of the Articles of Association, with documentation to follow on all resolutions to be tabled.

Please remember that the Annual General Assembly is for SRP members only. Only 1 representative per member organization is permitted to vote; however up to 2 representatives per organization are permitted to attend. Please note that in-person slots are limited to a first come, first served basis, with priority given to voting representatives.

SRP Symposium at IRC 2023

We would also like to remind SRP members, partners and friends that you are warmly invited to join the SRP Symposium on 17 October. The event will be held as part of the International Rice Congress (IRC 2023) at the Philippines International Convention Centre (PICC), Manila, Philippines. Call for Nominations

With three Board seats currently vacant, SRP seeks nominations from eligible candidates from the following categories:

• Public sector: 1 seat
• Service, input and equipment providers: 1 seat
• At-large (any constituency): 1 seat

In keeping with SRP’s goal to promote diversity throughout the organization, we especially encourage nominations from females and candidates from the global South. Please submit your nomination including photo and short bio by email to the Board Secretary at info@sustainablerice.org. Nominations will be accepted up to the submission deadline of 17:00 (UTC+2/CEST) on 27 September 2023.

We will publish the final list of candidates and their profiles via the SRP website no later than 2 October 2023. Voting will then take place via secure, online voting, to be managed by Mi-Voice, an independent third-party provider. Voting will close on 11 October 2023, and the outcome will be announced at the Annual General Assembly.
